From comfy home to cozy winter wonderland
Transform your home into a comfy and oh-so-cozy winter wonderland this holiday season with these holiday decor tips:
Berry tones are surfacing as the yuletide’s color palette of choice. Pair shades of raspberry, plum, and grape with accessories that feature other metallic detailing.
Have the Christmas cards you receive do double duty: 1) Let them bring a smile to your face, and 2) Display them in your Christmas tree as a complement to your ornaments.
Want to add some cheer to the kid’s wing of the house? Use candy, photos, and their prize ribbons from this year to make garland or ornaments for a pint-sized tree.
Transform a small side table in the dining room or kitchen into a hot beverage bar with tabletop trees, a customized wood sign, cute cups, and an assortment of warm drinks.
Good things come in small packages! Hang mini wreaths on each of your upper kitchen cabinets. Loop ribbon to make hanging a cinch.
Raid the recycling bin for a new set of festive candlesticks (i.e. empty wine bottles). Just replace the labels with wrapping paper and ribbon before adding candles.
Be on the lookout for the Christmas gonk. A festive accessory, these little figurines with long bushy beards and knitted hats were extremely popular in 2020.
Part of what I love about this time of year is decorating my home for family and friends to enjoy — I hope you'll join me!
